Hedi Moran combines realism and impressionism in her
rich and lively still life oil paintings. Bathed in a
sunlit rush of light and vivid color, her florals resonate
with a freshness and spontaneity that mask her carefully
cultivated composition and brushstroke techniques.
An award-winning artist, Hedi conducts oil painting
workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Norway,
and France. Her paintings have been featured in Art
of the West; International Artist; and Kunst for Alle,
a leading Scandinavian art magazine. Her work appears
in the 2004 annual “100 Ways to Paint Still Life & Florals” and “How
Did you Paint That? 100 Ways to Paint Flowers & Gardens,” published
by International Artist. Her paintings have also appeared
in “The Best of Flower Painting” by North
Light Books.
Hedi’s work has appeared in numerous art exhibits
throughout the country, including several annual juried
shows by the Oil Painters of America. For the past
two years her work has been juried into art exhibitions
sponsored by Salon International. She was also a finalist
two years in a row in International Artist’s “Flowers
and Garden Competition.” One of her paintings, “Antique
Roses,” currently is on exhibit at the official
residence of the United States Ambassador to the United
Nations of Geneva, Switzerland.
Hedi is a member of the Oil Painters of America and
a past president of the Scottsdale Artists League.
