First Born

~The young Apache mother is from the Fort Apache area in the White Mountains. The beautiful yellow and white outfit and cradle-board were made by her mother. The location for the background and setting for the painting was along the White River in Arizona, a private area where I had special permission from the parents to set up the scene for the painting.~
